Our winters kill furnaces at 2am. Our summers are humid enough to make a cheap AC give up. We size, install, and service equipment for what actually happens here — not what the brochure says.
About the CompanyThe owner shows up
You deal with the same person from the first call to the final walkthrough. No dispatcher, no rotating cast of subcontractors.
Quotes without games
Options explained in plain English, priced up front. If the cheaper fix is the right fix, that's what we'll tell you.
Sized for the house, not the sale
Every install starts with a real load calculation. Oversized equipment short-cycles, wastes fuel, and dies young. We don't sell it.
Clean, tested, documented
Drop cloths down, every connection checked, startup readings recorded and left with you. A system set up right — and proof.
Yes, heat pumps work in New Hampshire winters.
Modern cold-climate heat pumps keep heating well below zero and cool the house in summer with the same equipment. Paired with the right backup they take a real bite out of oil and propane bills, and NHSaves rebates can knock down the install cost. We'll tell you honestly whether one makes sense for your house — and when it doesn't.
Three steps. No runaround.
Call or send the form
Tell us what's going on. No-heat and no-cool calls get moved to the front of the line; everything else gets a callback the same business day.
Straight diagnosis & quote
We find the real problem, show you what we found, and price your options before touching anything. Repair, replace, or leave it alone — your call, with the math in front of you.
Fixed right, backed up
Repair or install done clean, tested under load, and walked through with you before we leave. Startup readings go in your file and on the equipment.
What customers say
"Furnace quit on the coldest night in February. Called at 6am, had heat back by noon, and the bill was exactly what he quoted on the phone. No drama."
"Two other companies quoted us a heat pump without ever measuring the house. Shamrock did the load calc, explained why the smaller system was the right one, and it's been perfect through a full winter."
"Cleanest mechanical room I've ever seen after an install. Copper runs like a diagram, everything labeled, and he walked me through the whole system before he left."

Questions we get a lot
Do you charge for estimates?
Estimates for new equipment and replacements are free. Repair visits start with a diagnostic, so you're paying for an answer instead of a guess — we'll tell you the fee when you book, and there are no surprises added on site.
Should I repair or replace my furnace?
Rough rule: if the system is 15+ years old and the repair costs more than a third of a replacement, replacement usually wins on the math. We'll show you both numbers and tell you which one we'd pick if it were our house.
Do heat pumps really work at 10 below?
Cold-climate models do. They keep producing heat well below zero, and we size them with the right backup for the coldest nights so you're never left waiting on the weather. Older or bargain units are a different story — which is why we're picky about what we install.
What towns do you cover?
Windham and the surrounding southern New Hampshire towns — Salem, Derry, Londonderry, Pelham, Hudson, Atkinson, Hampstead, Litchfield, Nashua, Manchester, Bedford — plus the Merrimack Valley side of northern Massachusetts. Not sure? Call and ask.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — fully licensed and insured, with certificates available on request. We pull permits when the job requires them and we don't skip the inspection.
